The frequent sleep during the day in Ramadan and the loss of time in non-acts of worship is not justified. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to divide his time in his house into three parts: part for Allah, part for his family, and part for himself.
The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “The two feet of the servant will not cease (from standing before Allah) on the Day of Judgment until he is asked about four things: on his life and how he spent it; on his body and in what way he utilized it; on his wealth and where he earned it and how he spent it; and on his knowledge and what he did with it.” (Narrated by Tirmidhi)
Time management is a sign of excellence and the secret of success in life, especially in the month of Ramadan. Many people have bad habits during this precious month; they sleep long hours and become lazy, which causes weight gain. Often this happens because of the damage caused by excessive eating.
They also dedicate long hours of their time at night and day to watch various Ramadan programs and series. And refrain from performing prayers and doing good deeds and they waste on them the most honorable times with useless issues. We must seize life and work in obedience to Allah Almighty before it is too late.
In the hadith: “Take advantage of five before five: your youth before your old age, your health before your illness, your riches before your poverty, your free time before your work, and your life before your death.” (Narrated by Bukhari and Muslim)
