Ramadaniyat 26: Satiety May Drive You to Sin – A Healthy Chicken Soup Recipe with Vegetables

Prophet Yunus (peace be upon him) said: “I have never been satiated with food but disobeyed or almost disobeyed [Allah].”

Salman and Abu Juhaifa reported: “The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Verily, the people who ate to their fill the most in this world will be the hungriest on the Day of Resurrection.” Al-Tabari said: But satiety, although permissible, it has an end to it and what is more than normal, is extravagance…

Allah has permitted us to eat what is good and not harmful to us mentally and physically. Allah warned us from following Satan because every sin against Allah is from the work of Satan, this also applies to extravagance in food.

Allah says: “O mankind, eat from whatever is on earth [that is] lawful and good and do not follow the footsteps of Satan. Indeed, he is to you a clear enemy.” (Al Baqara: 168)
